For the Chocolate Base:
1 cup chocolate pudding or chocolate mousse
2 tablespoons chocolate syrup
1 tablespoon crushed roasted nuts (optional)
For the Strawberry Layer:
1/2 cup sliced fresh strawberries
1/4 cup strawberry compote or jam
1 tablespoon sugar (to macerate berries)
For the Whipped Cream:
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
1 tablespoon powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the Toppings:
Whole strawberries (fresh or sugared)
Blackberries or raspberries
Shaved chocolate or cocoa powder
Crushed toffee or caramel bits
Chocolate sauce (for drizzling)
Fresh mint leaves
Optional: edible flowers or pink sakura petals for decoration

Prepare the Berries:
Toss sliced strawberries with a little sugar and let sit for 10 minutes to draw out juices.
Make the Whipped Cream:
Whip cold cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
Assemble the Parfait:
In a decorative glass, spoon a layer of chocolate pudding or mousse at the bottom.
