Holiday Wreath Meringues with Berries & Cream

Ingredients
For the Meringues
4 large egg whites
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
For the Filling & Topping
1 cup heavy cream
2 tbsp powdered sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup mixed berries (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries)
Optional: fresh mint leaves for garnish
Directions
Preheat oven:
Preheat oven to 100°C (210°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Make the meringues:
In a clean, dry bowl, whisk egg whites with cream of tartar and salt until soft peaks form. Gradually add sugar, whisking until stiff, glossy peaks form. Fold in vanilla.
Pipe the wreaths:
Transfer meringue to a piping bag with a large star tip. Pipe small wreath shapes on the parchment-lined baking sheet.
Bake:
Bake for 1–1.5 hours, until meringues are crisp and dry. Turn off oven and let cool completely inside.
Prepare the cream:
Whip heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form.
Assemble:
Place meringue wreaths on a serving plate. Pipe or spoon whipped cream into the center of each wreath. Top with fresh berries and optional mint leaves.
Serve:
Serve immediately for a festive dessert, or store meringues and cream separately until ready to assemble.
