🧾 INGREDIENTS
🍰 Dough Base
1½ cups flour
½ cup cold butter, diced
¼ cup granulated sugar
1 egg yolk
Ice water as needed
🍏 Apple Layer
5 medium apples, peeled and finely sliced
Juice of ½ lemon
¼ cup sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
🍮 Vanilla Custard
2 cups milk
½ cup sugar
3 egg yolks
2 tbsp cornstarch
1 tsp vanilla essence

Powdered sugar

📜 HOW TO MAKE IT
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line or grease a springform pan.
For dough, rub butter into flour and sugar until sandy. Add yolk and water, mix and press into the pan. Chill 15 minutes.
Mix apple slices with lemon, sugar, and cinnamon. Let them sit while you make custard.
Heat milk. Whisk yolks, sugar, cornstarch. Slowly add warm milk, return to heat until thick. Stir in vanilla.
Spread custard into prepared crust. Layer apples in spirals over custard.
Bake 50–60 minutes or until top is set and lightly golden.
Cool, dust generously with powdered sugar.
